I have to stop doing this.

I have not posted in so long, I don't know where to start. Lucky for you, I do have some pictures to post. : )

Let's start with the snow. Everyone is freaking out about the very small amount that we have, but a year ago today we had this.

Yep, we had over a foot of snow and branches had broken off everywhere. We are no where close to having this much, and I can't say that I am totally upset about it. I walk with Ethan every morning to school. I load Elliott into the stroller, and we walk the 2 blocks there and back to drop him off and again to pick him up. It's very important to me, so the first morning that it was actually cold and snowing, I decided, NO EXCUSES. We walked. We bundled up, and off we went. I somehow did not get snow boots, a coat or snow pants for Ethan before this day arrived, but he got by. Good thing he hadn't grown too much, and good thing Elliott grew a TON because he is in Ethan's winter coat from when he was 2. Yes, Elliott is HUGE. But they looked so ready to go, I had to take a picture.

On a totally unrelated note, Jason has become quite famous amongst his fellow soldiers from all over the world. In his spare time, he made a Facebook Fan Page for the PT Belt that the soldiers wear in order to keep them from getting run over. It seems very ironic to wear a reflective belt on top of your camouflage while in the middle of a war zone, and all soldiers agree. It took the page just 30 days to get to 1000 fans, and is currently at almost 1700! The 34th Red Bull Infantry Division even wrote an article about him! You can see the article here http://www.theredbulls.org/article00380 and you can see the Facebook page here http://www.facebook.com/ptbelt. Yes, that's right, when you have 1000 fans, you get your very own Facebook URL. Needless to say, he is proud.

Now onto hockey. Ethan has been having a tough time with wanting to be on the ice, but we still go, and the last couple times have been so much better. On Friday, Jaymee and Raigan joined us at the rink. Raigan was so happy, and never thought twice about telling the kids to get to work. She loved playing with the other "big kids" who were waiting for their siblings to finish, and she and Elliott played together and both had rosy cheeks and runny noses by the time we left. They didn't seem to mind.

After hockey on Friday night, we got to go pick up Jason from the airport. He will be home for 15 days. Ethan was excited to see him and didn't stop talking for 2 days. They have cleaned Ethan's room together, worked on math together, read books, wrestled, and they are watching a movie in Ethan's room as I am writing this. They are the best of buds. It's so great to have him home. We are just spending our time being a family. We don't have any plans. I have made homemade dinners and just took brownies out of the oven. I might as well spoil him while he is here. Dang he is a lucky guy. : )

Hope everyone has a great week.
