we made it

A huge THANKS to Garret and Nate for coming over on Sunday to help load up the truck. It only took about and hour and a half to get it done (minus the small last minute stuff), and another huge THANKS to the Hayashida's for hosting us Sunday night.

Monday morning we headed out early. The weather was beautiful, and the kids were surprisingly good. Ethan rode in the Uhaul with Jason and Elliott rode with me. Every nook and cranny in both vehicles was jam packed with stuff. There was literally just enough room for us to sit. We made good time, and thanks to the help of Chris and Kevin, the Uhaul was returned at 5:00pm. We were all exhausted last night.
Jason had to be at work early this morning, Ethan started at his new school today,  and after running a few errands, Elliott and I came home and got to work unpacking. Luckily Jason set up the T.V. and the Wii last night so Elliott was entertained for a lot of the day. I was able to get the kitchen unpacked and put together, and even got our clothes all put away. It was a very busy day, but the house is coming together nicely. :)

Speaking of the house, Jason did an awesome job of picking it out. Jaymee asked that I post some pictures so here they are. It looks like a huge mess, but believe it or not, there is a method here.

This is the living room. I just realized that it looks like a den with that long window, but it has a big open window on the wall to the left. I am so excited to have a living room that still has room to move when the couch and chair are in it.
The kitchen is right next to the living room, and to the right of the table is a sliding door to the patio in the back. It's been a long time since I have had space to use our dining table and chairs, and I cannot wait to have Jason grill us some dinner on the patio.
This hall leads to our bedroom, and the front door. There is a 1/2 bath before you get to our room, along with a place for the washer and dryer and a coat closet.
This is the master bedroom. It is much cleaner now, I was in the middle of putting stuff away when I took these.
This is the door to the master bath, and beyond that is our huge (for me anyway) closet.
There is so much space! It's almost filled with clothes now, but before we had clothes in 3 different closets.
Then we go upstairs.
The boys have their own bathroom and linen closet.
As well as a HUGE toy room and bedroom. Elliott was napping so there isn't a picture of their room.
I can't tell you just how great it was to wake up to my husband this morning, and tell him good-bye when he left for work. Then when dinner was ready, he walked back through the door and ate dinner with us. We are now all home spending the evening together (well kind of, Jason has a "man cold" and I'm sure he may die LOL so he is in bed). I know the boys are going to love having their Daddy home every night and on the weekends.
